Exhibition Project "PONG.mythos" funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation
The jurors of the Federal Cultural Foundation (Bundeskulturstiftung) have decided to grant funding to the “PONG.mythos” exhibition project. The concept of the exhibition was developed by Andreas Lange and submitted by the Computer Game Museum Berlin (in the “Förderverein für Jugend- und Sozialarbeit e. V.”).

The Computer Game Museum was choosen as a case study for the Technology Watch Report 1 of the European Research Initiative DigiCult "New Technologies for the Cultural and Scientific Heritage Sector"

Jeremy Gieske from the Salford University finished in 2002 one of the first major works about computer games in the field of museum studies. Titled, “A study categorizing issues facing current and future videogame museums and exhibitions in today’s heritage marketplace“, his analysis is based on the case study of the Computer Game Museum. download it here...
