We offer two ways to try out old and new VR exhibits:

(While the VR Head-Set producers recomend an age 12+, we allow our young visitors to try out the guided VR exhibits with an age 8+ on request of their parents.)

Virtual Reality Tour

Ca. 80 minutes, max. 10 participants, 70 € overall (plus entrance fee)

Virtual reality is considered to be a megatrend. But the idea of Virtual Reality is already much older and also the attempt to utilize VR technology in the entertainment sector was already be undertaken in the mid-1990'er years at that time in the arcades. Being guided through our exhibition, learn more about the cultural and technical evolutionary lines of Virtual Reality and then try out two of the new systems yourself and the historic first commercial VR game system, the 1994 SU 2000 coin-op.
The tour can be booked through our service staff at Sun. - Thu. between 10:30 am to 6:30 pm and Fri. - Sat. 10:30 am bis 2:30 pm.

Virtual Reality Check

Guided by our service staff, you can try out two of the new VR-Systems yourself and as a special the historic first commercial VR game system, the 1994 SU 2000 coin-op, too.
The VR-Check can be ordered each Friday and Saturday from 4 pm until 7 pm without extra costs at the cash desk.

For families or small parties

The museum game "Die Legende der Goldenen Konsole" (The Legend of the Golden Console)

"The Legend of the Golden Console" allows you to explore our permanent exhibition in a new and playful way. This offer is available every day after 6 pm for 2€ per player on top of the regular entrance fee. You can book this team game for 4 to 8 players (age 12+) either in the German or the English version here.

Guidance by the curator

The curator and director, Andreas Lange, takes you through the exhibition and offers an exclusive insight into the evolution of computer games as a medium.
